Hi all,

I have a beautiful MG which I am looking to sell but to be honest not sure where the best place is to advertise as it's quite a small market.

It's a 2008 MG TF 500 LE. No. 99/500.
It's done just over 58K miles and has a full service history bar one over COVID.

It's in really nice condition for the age as expected but does have a few bits. I.E cracked glass wind mirror. 3 tiny pin dents in the driver's door and small light scratches which will easily polish out.

The only major( not so major apparently) is that the Speedo is not accurate. The rev and fuel gauges are though.

It has the hardtop as well as the standard soft top and is in black with black leather.

I literally have no idea how to value the vehicle so would love suggestions.

Thanks in advance all.

Reg is HY58AWO

Hello mate, I'm no expert on this but I have a orange LE500 number 38 of 500 I paid £3000 and I have spent another £2000 to get it to a standard I'm happy with and I'm still spending money on her lol, I have seen the same colour go for anything between £3000 £9000. I think yours is black and with a good MOT history so I would possibly go for anything between £3000 to the £5000 but I could be wrong it all depends on who wants it on the day.

Thanks for the advice.

To be honest I was thinking around the £4k area. Motorway have said £3700 upwards. Will probably just use them as need my garage back haha.

Appreciate your time.

Remember, you can always go down in price, you can never go up.
You ask where to advertise, try the MGOC and MGCC, Autocar or car and classic to advertise, any of those will bring results.
But inflate the price slightly if it is a low mileage example and has had the head gasket, water pump and cam belt changed, then you will be off to a good start.
Does it have s.s. underfloor coolant pipes?
All these things appeal to a prospective TF buyer that knows his stuff.
