Probably a lucky guy from The Netherlands! 3 months 5 days ago #205540

I was looking for an appropiate roadster quite some time. Will it be a Mazda MX5, a FIAT Barchetta, an Audi TT or maybe an Alfa Romeo Spider? No, all the time I keep coming back and looking for the MG. Doubts about a MGF or a MG TF. The cute but capable MGF VVC or the improved MG TF 1.8L.
Finally I've got me a MF TF from 2002 a week ago. Originally a TF115 but the car got a new sports heart, a 1.8L with a Remap cure... The car is technically in a very good condition and the known issues are dealt with. The body underneath has had a rost prevention treat and the subframes are powder coated.Today I mounted the wiperarms (after a fresh paint) with 530mm Bosch Aero Twin wipers. Normally default wipers are 500mm, so i was curious if 530mm will fit. I think it will work out well.
I allready found verry useful informatie on this website, therefore I registered myself.

Regards,
Hans

Hello and welcome Hans, sounds like you've got yourself one that's been well cared for and you should have some great fun with it. None of the others you listed have ever floated my boat but then I'm biased. There's a great community that goes along with having the octagon badge and there is an absolute wealth of expertise right here.

Welcome to the forum. There is a huge amount of information here in the How To's plus almost any technical issue has been covered many times in posts rady to be found in a search.

Who did the remap for you ? I found little difference in driving experience when i went from a 115 to a 135, especially on urban roads but then the remapped ECU made a very noticeable difference to the way the car drives.
