Hello from across the Pond! SW Michigan to be more precise. After a year delay from when the earliest MGF's became eligible for US import, I have finally officially imported car# 000257. Yes, car #7 off the line. Was N422SAC but someone attached KUI5597. I would like to get the official plate restored if anyone knows how to do this?

Twenty-five years is the magic number for US import so that means that all cars with N at the front of the plate are now allowed and some very early P plates. For y'all in the UK if there are N cars in salvage yards etc. not smashed or rusted it might be worth dragging them out & advertising in the USA!

Another 1995 model now in the USA. AD000575. This one has the Suplex kit fitted - not too sure about it!

Had to get a new battery today. Even showing over 12 volts it was NOT good! At least the battery is common to cars here although Costco could not find MGF in their system.

And finally my third MGF: N995OCU, VIN AD000332. Fortunately still goes on an auto transport with slammed suspension. Needed to be loaded by roll back though.

I have a set of re-gassed spheres courtesy of Rimmer Bros so looking forward to fitting them.

These cars are going to be a hit in the USA now that they're finally admissible. Was stuck in traffic on I-94 and people rolled down their windows to give compliments. And several more thumbs up as traffic passed. The value of those early cars in GB has gone up. Don't scrap anymore!

Great pictures and yes too many of these cars are being scrapped as their value has dropped , most are seen as cheap throw away cars . Enjoy your MG .

Recently, I've heard of MGFs selling for over $15,000, although they were prefect examples. I've seen a few in Florida being offered for over $25,000.

Hello Brad, your MGF was built on 17th August 1995 and was despatched to the MG Rover preparation area in Rugby, it left there on 31st August 1995 and was first registered the following day (1/09/1995) in Coventry with N422 SAC - it was probably used by MG Rover for demonstration purposes until it was sold. The car was exported into Canada on 26 August 2010 and into the USA in May 2020 - Hope this helps
