For those of you who have not heard about the Arctic Circle Run before let me just give you a few details:
Objective
"A complete lap of the M25, after dark, with the hood down, in the winter"
Details
Rolling start from the three services on the M25, Thurrock, then South Mimms, then Clacketts Lane - we go anti-clockwise, kicking it off at Thurrock circa 10-11pm and collecting the other participants as we drive by the other services, culmintating in us all blasting through the Dartford tunnel together around midninght. The Dartford toll will be free as it will be after 10:00pm.

But this interrupts the laps of the other two groups, so, although a nice thing to do i think it should be optional this time around, particularly as the Clackett's group has only just started thier run.
A complete lap is 120 miles, we go at normal road speeds, THIS IS NOT A RACE, we are very conspicuous and it'll only take one person getting 'over excited' and drawing the attentions of the Police to shut the whole thing down. There is a lead car (probably mine) and no one is to over take it.
We also need to be aware of other road users, there will be plenty of other motorists who need to break up our convoy to exit the motorway etc, our convoy needs to be 'loose and flexible' so as to not inconvenience others.
There will be plenty of opportunity to bunch up and drive as a big group, so it is not an issue if we get split up for a bit.
Finally, it's supposed to be fun, but it WILL be cold - please dress appropriately, 120 miles in freezing conditions is enough to leech through your clothes, even with the heater on full - minimum 3 layers. I don't want anyone getting hypothermia!!
