Run down the Wye Valley 10 years 7 months ago #129641

About time we had a run out, so I thought that a run down the beautiful Wye valley would go down well.
It will include visits to Symonds Yat Rock & Tintern Abbey.
Date, Sunday 13/10/13 meeting at Ross-on-Wye around 11am & finishing at Chepstow about 2.30pm.
Optional drive back through the Forest of Dean.
Anybody interested ;)
Full details will be posted in Events section.

:woohoo: Sounds good to me,bit of a trek to get there but loved it the area when we caravaned there {prior to MGF days, think it was the Rover 820 hatch as a 'tow barge'...lol)

I'm looking for one more event before the hard top goes on and the car is laid up for the winter (but remains taxed and insured in case the Rover lets me down) This seems ideal. Won't need to leave Brum in the early hours!

There are now 15 cars going on this run
Due to the numbers, the planned lunch stop at the Old Railway station has been scrubbed.
However, we will now be having lunch at the Anchor pub.,across the road from the Abbey at Tintern.
The landlord has given us private use of the ground floor function room, which overlooks lawns at the rear, where we can also park our cars.
The cost of the Sunday lunch is £11.95 inc. coffee., which is the going rate for this popular tourist spot.
I will assume that everybody is in agreement with this, unless you let me know, & will cough up on the day B) I need final numbers by Wed. the 9/10

Looks as though it will be a bit colder. but dry.
There are 17 cars on the run & most are from Org.
OK, most belong to both forums, but disappointed at the lack of response on here :yesnod:
Please try & support runs & events as you will have a great time, meet some really informed people & realise what you have been missing.
If you can make it, just turn up at Morrisons & you will be most welcome.
