Ive no real interest in organising an event as such..

But wondered how many would be interested in going the the Nurburgring next summer?

Plan would be post dates up.. and everyone make their own travel/accomdation arrangements..

I appreciate this wont appeal to all.. But a few may be up for it..

I suspect my TF wouldn't be up to it but I'd like to be a passenger with someone. I'd pay half of whatever it costs to get there n back for a nice trip. I'd have to OK it with the mrs first though.

They have all sorts going around at all sorts of speeds..

Calais to Nurberg is 485.6 Km according to AA Route finder..

Horrifically slow, but it was my first time driving on the Nordschleife and a month earlier I'd been in a smash there as a passenger whilst there for work. Second, unrecorded lap was quicker

It was SO much fun!!!

Lap times would also depend on traffic and how fast other stuff is moving..

Personally Im going for the experience not the lap time

Totally. I only worked the lap time out once I'd got home and watched it for the 156th time.

Makes your car seem so underpowered though when you get overtaken by Mclaren MP4s and other such car porn

It's brilliant!

I went there last year in my 1.1 Metro (66bhp when new) and did a 14 & 12 minute lap.
I'm going back this September in the Metro if it's finished and in the F if it isn't.

I must admit to never having been so scared of anything in my life before I set off. By the end I was making American crowd noises.

I would worry the car wouldnt make it there and back and be gutted.. hmmm maybe a trailer lol.. (buy a cheap f and if you kill it on track leave it there lol)

depends on the days , how long you looking at , maybe make it coincide with lemans 24hr race
