Just bought 2005 mgtf no warning light on but steering is heavy when going g slow is this normal ? Checked the fuses I think the right ones seem OK .any ideas?

Assuming that tyre pressures etc are all correct then you could have lost your speed signal, blown the EPAS fuse or it might be as simple as low voltage from the battery.

Start by removing and reinstalling the large fuse in the front.

Drivers side fuse OK changed 40 amp fuse block in fuse box under bonnet no different will check tyres but they look OK its when I am reversing off driveway or going slow it's hard is there any other fuse?

First check is to see if the Power Steering is functioning or not!

Put key in ignition, and undo steering lock, but do not turn ignition on.

Feel how heavy the steering is.

Now turn ignition on and start the engine (remain stationary)

How does the steering feel now?

If it is the same, then power steering is not working so all the above checks are valid (note nothing to do with speed sensor as car is not moving!) or PAS system is faulty.

if there is a noticeable difference, then it is either normal (just heavier than you expect), or the PAS system is faulty.

I have two TF's, and the power steering feels different between them, but neither are "heavy" when stationary.

when you say drivers side fuse you mean this one under the steering wheel..number 25

Is there A speed sensor on the gear box ? Could that be faulty ?
