help required with paint suppliers 7 years 7 months ago #171426

So I thought i had managed to find a company who said they could source Monogram IAV Twilight paint for my car. Turns out they can't supply it and neither can 2 other companies here in Lancashire i have tried. After a search on google I got in touch with auto paints Brighton (a specialist MG paint company). They can supply the paint no problems, but (and it's a BIG but) they have quoted me £440 per litre :slapme: . As i'm looking at ordering 3 litres there's no way i can afford £1320.00. So I have 2 questions:

1, Is that a reasonable price?

2, Does anyone here in the community know of any other suppliers of MG paint i could contact for quotes?

Seems the price quoted is about right, but if anyone knows of other suppliers, please can you let me know

Yes Denial, that quote is correct, I have been told in the past that all monogram flip paint is around £450 per litre.

I'm sure it's too specialised for Halfords but they have a huge range of paints + they can now mix colours to your paint code.
Just had a cock-up with my colour, wanted a touch-up. Mines a 59 TF in Radiant Red (I think), Halfords checked the code which is Apple Green!!
Ended up with a Vauxhall Burgundy Red which is as near as damnit. Staff were extremely helpful carting out different aerosols to compare - you can't lose anything for trying.

Thanks to all those who replied. As much i would have loved to get a mongram paint job it's just way beyond my reach. It would have taken me months to save up enough money to buy the paint. The build on my car has taken way to long as it is, and with a potential move to Cardiff on the cards if i can pass a job interview this month i need to get this finished. I decided that i really wanted to go with an MG colour after the disappointment of not being able to afford a monogram one. so after 3 hours of looking at MGF and TF colour charts and pictures online, i've picked one and it's a colour i've always had a secret love of.
