Yesterday went to start the Tf 115. When I turned the key I heard a small crack from somewhere and the starter motor did not turn to start the car, so had to get a mate to give me a push start and the engine fired up straight away. When I got home I tried it again but not even a click from the starter motor and I noticed that when the key is held in the start position all the dash lights go out until let go of the key. Is there a fuse or a relay for the starter motor or do you think it's had it's day? Thanks.

Power at the solonoid but no click is generally faulty solonoid.

Slide the spade off the terminal and back on, chances are it will start.

After a good look at the motor I noticed that the short small braided copper wire that runs from the motor to the solenoid had perished and had split and was not connected. I bridged this using a screwdriver and the solenoid activated and the motor attempted to turn but I reckon the battery was a bit low or the connection made with screwdriver wasn't good enough as there was a lot of sparking. Anyhow it seems it's new starter time. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Is it not possible to replace this wire?

Yes it would more than likely possible and that was my initial intention. BUT after an hours struggling to remove the nut on the motor wiring terminal, with the addition of copious amounts of Plusgas, the terminal snapped completely off along with a lump of (plastic?) from the motor itself.
These things are sent to try us I suppose lol.
