I have an old stainless steel kitchen bin awaiting the angle grinder to reshape it, I also have some MG ZS mk1 bumper mesh to fill the recesses, better than that expanded ali mesh IMHO, already got it in the side grills.

Thanks for the responses. Interesting that no one so far has fitted the Satur S/S cover....but then it's quite expensive. I think I'll try some matt black paint for starters.... any ideas on what type of paint will stick?

That diamond mesh from Halfords is identical to the proper MG mesh that is used on earlier MGs. I used that and dremmelled the end off the heat shield to show a nice xpower exhaust. Vrooom vrooom.
I ditched the heat shield.. and have gone for 3mm aluminum instead..
Some might call it extreme lol.. But I wanted to hide everything except for the tail pipes
Back end is then aluminum mesh.. etch primed and painted black.
Heat Shield ???............................................ what heat shield???
Alas mine fell to bits when I changed the exhaust on "Blue 33". Once I get the floor of the bootrepaired amd going to try some adhesive heat shield and reflector. Any suggestions as to if this is a good idea or not are welcome .
I have definitely seen that 'woven' stainless mesh(as the last photo) for sale in Halfords. I agree it's so much better than the perforated aluminium stuff. My F has the woven stainless!
