Early Mk1 MGF's had side seams but NOT BAS Sportster Hoods!

I said the early mk1 hood were the same as the sportster hood, not that they were BAS hoods!

Incidently I have a BAS classic hood with glass screen that does fold flat.

Here's something that's worth checking. My hood didn't fold very flat and I noticed that it seemed to get stopped by the screws on the X-Power wind deflector.



Turns out that it was fitted wrongly by dealer or whoever fitted it. I guess reading instructions was too much trouble. The screws should go on the inside as detailed in the fitting guide which Rimmers have on their website. I removed the two mounting blocks and swapped them over my hood now drops at least an inch further.
