Hi,
new to this forum. I have recently bought an 2001/2 F for my daughter so adding on to as many resources as I can. She is happy with the car but there are a few problems. One big problem is that whilst it seems to drive reasonably well, I haven't yet had a chance to 'lie' under the car for a close look.......I will have this (dubious!?) pleasure after tomorrow whilst she goes on hols (all right for some). I am really quite worried about what I may find having read through hours of forum messages....
So I'm looking for recommendations for suppliers, particularly secondhanders, I've already found mgfntfbitzs and of course, there is fleabay although I guess there can be issues with some sellers.
I am in the Bradford on Avon, Wilts area is anyone else is near.
And it really is for my daughter although I am on the insurance

There are quite a few spares sold through the forum where people have either upgraded or are breaking cars.

What level are you intending to work to, checking tyre pressures or changing head gaskets or somewhere in-between?

I'd like to think that I could go most of the way at least on the mechanical, although I can't say that I have worked on a K series, A series yes. Still, this car has allegedley already had the hg done. I believe that Rover changed the material that the gasket was manufactured in but I don't known when, hopefully before mine was changed.
