Urban mushing the hard way!

So, I said to my psychiatrist "Do you ever question your own sanity?"

He said "No. But I always question yours!"

:bust: I think you need a quick release mechanism on that,
mate. :P

Short of an ejector seat, I was done for. :P

We're doing around 5km daily now. It takes us about 25 minutes. Ordinarily that same walk would take us a couple of hours. So, it's a good burn out for both of us. :)

My new years resolution was to try and get a bit fitter so I tried jogging with the lead wrapped around my waist at first. Thought I was going to have a bloody heart attack! This solution is much better. I reckon he 'trots' at about 12 mph after the first 3 minutes 'burn out', during which time we're overtaking people on their push bikes. It's so funny seeing the look on some peoples faces.

It is great fun David and I've not felt this fit for a long time. Evidently, push scootering burns 30% more energy than riding a conventional bike. It's a junk, cheapo fleabay kick scooter that I've thrashed the life out of in a couple of months, doing over 360 km (224 miles) so far. I might upgrade to a proper dog scooter soon. I don't see myself giving this up now that I've got into it.

You should get your pack of Rotties working too. They'd love it.

Here's the max speed so far (27 kph - 17 mph). The average 'walking pace' for us is around 10 to 14 kph (6.2 to 8.7 mph). He could go faster I'm sure. I just won't let him until I get some disc brakes. Freight trains don't stop on a dime.

Unfortunately my pack is much more interested in sniffing everything and piddling on it. I'd end up towing them round! :slapme:

lovely dog and the scooter is a great idea.. :broon: ...........i could see myself being pulled to work and overtaking my boss who cycles every day........but theres plenty of rabbits on our industrial estate. The rabbits are near some speed bumps..........so the ride could get a little interesting......might end up like on leighs vid, where he met the rabbit.
