So having admired for some time, those of you lucky enough to have MG logo's on your seats i decided to try and get something for mine. If like me you can't afford to go out and buy some seats that are already embroided this could be an option. Originally my car just had cloth seats. I managed to pick up some grey alcantra seats for £28 on ebay 3 months ago. Whilst doing my weekly trawl through ebay for everything MG related i came across these:

I bought 2 for £3.20:
2 MG Car Racing Overall Cloth Patch Badges
Completed

they arrived from bulgaria within the week and look like this on the seats:

The patches or are designed to be applied just using an iron to heat the glue on the back. I haven't attached mine yet but thumbs up or thumb down?

before you attach them, tape them in place and sit on the seat wearing a t-shirt? just to make sure they wouldnt be uncomfortable.
do most folks have the badges or embroidery on the headrest?

That gets a thumbs up from me.

Would be interested to see what they looked like on the headrest too

Yes - headrest for me.

Can you let us know how you get on ironing them on because the ebay ad suggests sewing them onto leather and ironing only works on cotton material.

Look nice though :broon:

I think that they are a bit ott.
There are enough MG logos around the car to remind you & every one else what you are driving :yesnod:

How many MG Octagon logos are there?

This is the answer to that question given in the old MG Quiz thread;

Boot x1
Bonnet x1
Headlight cover x2
Wheels Centres x4
Windscreen x1
Side Windows x2

Seat label x2 (MPi was fitted with cloth seats, label is between seat back and head rest section, clearly visible)
Sill Protectors x2
Steering Wheel x1
Centre Dash x1
Keys (original so you have both) 1 each side x4
Radio/cassette player, standard on the MY2000 x1

As noted previously the MY2000 did not have any MG logo on the instruments. The original MGF had 2 and the following TF's had 1.

Thus excluding any car mats and other items mentioned I think the correct answer is.....

Total 22

Unless of course you know better. This answer relates to a standard MGF MY2000 1.8 MPi
