Fancy bearings for a fancy gearbox

Dialled in cams including Piper BP270 exhaust cam

And finally the only picture I have of my TF

Since I've got it I've swapped shocks to the Bilstein Comfort packs - presently on standard springs, but may change the Eibach lowering springs I have in the garage
Heritage Hardtop for the winter!
B&G Seat lowering springs
LPG conversion

It's presently just the standard 160, but I'll be swapping it with the Scholar in the spring. Other future plans are:
266 rear brakes
Air Con retro fit
Emerald K6 (just sold my K3)
LSD, Lightened Freelander flywheel with 220T 228mm clutch
I've also a set of 1444 cams with solid lifters/double springs etc... which I just need some ITB's to go with them.

Between 25k and 40k a year.

Nothing wrong with primer - it was my first choice of colour as I've got a spare tin of paint from one of my old Metros (not a factory metro colour!) which meant getting the hardtop painted up was easy enough. It did look slightly strange with a red hardtop for a few days!

I'll try and get some pictures of the TF up, along with other mods on it.

Forgot a few other goodies which are waiting for it - Janspeed 4-2-1 340R manifold and MGOC supersports exhaust, although if the manifold doesn't clear air con parts, I'll have to adapt a Janspeed ZR 160 manifold instead. Also got a Vibratechnics uprated gearbox mount and I need to do something about the standard speaker setup. At this moment in time, I'm not 100% sure what though :S

Bit of an update...

Drove home from work the other day with a strange metallic sound at low revs. After the engine died completely (before I got home), found the cam timing was out between the cambelt and VVC belt pulleys - roll pin had sheared and pulley slipped. Strangely the bolt was not loose.

Removed the head to find one valve without a head and 11 bent ones! Swapped the head (with some help from Matt Parker) for the spare I had and it's all back up and running again. Exhaust note is noiser and it feels quite a bit torquier, so I suspect it's been like this since I got it. I just assumed it was slow (compared to a Metro with a 160) because of the weight! Can't wait to see what it's like with 200bhp+

Now that's all sorted, I've taken the opportunity to fit the MGOC back box (so I can blame the noise on the new head when the wife complains :P )

Hardtop has finally had the vinyl MG stickers added (in time to remove it for summer!)

I've bought and fitted a windstop and tonneau cover which the cat thinks are great:

Added ipod interface to my Stereo.

Next mods planned are:
BMC CDA
Emerald K6
Uprated speakers for the doors - any suggestions for decent components to run off an amp? Was planning on getting some second hand JL XR's off ebay
PRT (really wish I'd put the thermostat blank in when I had the head off!)
Air Con
266mm rear brakes. My new discs have been redrilled and adapter bracket mocked up which look okay. Just need to finalise it and pull my finger out.

Prepare the new engine - bought some Titan DTH Throttle Bodies, so I need an airbox which fits (Pipercross looks like a strong contender), along with relieving the head where the cam lobes rotate, and of course fitting the lifters/springs/cams!
