Before joining the T-Bar I knew very little about cars in general and even less about MG cars. Despite having worked for Rover cars for a few years. I set up and headed the guard dog section and guarded the first MGF's at their
official press release launch at Coombe abbey.
So, that was the start of it.
Since joining my car knowledge has upped through these pages, being thrown in at the deep end
seeing the engine for the first time in Luxembourg
and getting my hands dirty making a few guides of my own. Even with a car of this age, it can be done with a little effort and inventive thinking. Here's a few of the guides and mad mods from the darkside that I've really had fun doing.
Having asked for one to be put in, obliged thankfully by Psymon and co, I run a shoutbox quiz from time to time and have knocked up a few videos on simple guides and fun with my MG. I feel that they've helped out within the community, in particular with newer members, because of the numerous thousands of views they've recieved. Every little helps. But having a laugh is paramount.
Lastly, I will say that what I like most about this community is the camaraderie, both national and international, the meets, the events, the runs around the nation and to foreign shores, the charity support, the barbecues, the humour, even the arguments and all the efforts made to have a little blast out of life, both on and offline. You can take it or leave it. But not many car forums can rival the MG for spirit and participation... and you got to love that!
