Hello all,

I finally bought my first ever soft top car last week. Now the proud owner of 53 plate TF160. I'm slightly nervous and have my eye on the coolant level but having worked for Rover in the 90s I know that's all part of the fun. Actually this will be my 7th K series car and all the others were faultless so let's hope it continues.

I'm working through those little new (to me) car jobs now. Replaced the bonnet stay clip so I'm hoping the knocking noises will now stop or it'll be out with the jack and the crowbar to see what I missed on the test drive.

I've just replaced the borderline illegal Chinese front tyres with some nice chunky Toyos. Can anyone recommend a 4 wheel alignment place in the Bracknell area that actually knows how to adjust the back of a TF if it needs doing?

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Hi folks, thanks to everyone who sent me welcome messages. Sadly my spam filter caught the emails so I've only just spotted them all.

A few of you asked for pictures so here you are http://www.the-t-bar.com/en/photo/1573lostboy42/album?albumid=1440

Wasn't too sure about the grey roof with grey car and I considered swapping it for black. Its all a bit of a John Major special in grey but actually its growing on me as its a bit different to all those silver and black MX5s I see so I think i'll stick with it for now.

@David - i went to Elite as you recommended. They were very good and sorted out the rear toe which has actually made a noticeable difference. Sadly they found a caster & camber issue at the front so I'll be starting a new topic for that next to see what you all think.

Phil
