Surrey Run 11 years 9 months ago #58831

Had an interesting day in the Surrey Downs, didnt know they had such narrow muddy, pot holed, single track lanes. Made more interesting by the cycle race using the same route, or some of it!!

Pleased to meet up with Jan, had a laugh talking about the near misses with the 4 x 4's and hgv's.

At the start.

Pete ... what on Earth is that hard top doing on your car in July :omg: That's bad enough but you posted a photo of it on this forum too. :nonod:

Good selection of cars and other vehicles :yesnod:

Hope you all had a good time.

What a fab day :broon:

Glorious weather, great company, met and chatted with quite a few new faces
Missed a head on with a Daimler by 2 inches, 12ft skid
Maybe the Toyos are scrubbed in now
Around 200 cars there, some real stunners :yesnod:
Should have done the run with Pete. but lost him  so followed random men, and two Tigers
I now have a passionate hatred of arrogant cyclists who think 4 abreast on a single track lane is acceptable, I will be purchasing a long stick to poke the outside one with, and snigger when they all collapse like a pack of cards ;)
The Surrey Crew did us proud as usual, a well thought out and challenging route, with an excellent route plan, lovely plaque, and great marshaling :broon:
Big thank you to Bryan for my lovely Teddy Bear :hugs:
We should be having a few older car owners, as in the cars not the owners join us, well that was my price for having my photo taken with them B)
