Crackpot Run sounds like an ideally named event for me to introduce myself

Paul + Son Saul (12), a big MG fan

I have pinched this info from a Pendle Lass post on MG-Rover.org, please forgive me but I thought it may help others to have the info to hand.

"roll up roll up and get your names down for the next Border Patrol run... as name suggests all crackpots are welcome.... We are a friendly bunch so newbies are more than welcome, we even allow Scottish people to attend..

Start point our usual haunt: Stump Cross Cavern @10am

just as a little taster we will be heading out towards Hawes, nipping round the back, up Butter Tubs Pass, if time allows up to Tan Hill maybe for food there and dropping down through Crackpot and back towards the finishing point..... The actual run details wont be confirmed till I can do a dry run in the beginning of May so lets just say its a Magical mystery tour for now

Lunch will be at Tan Hill pub we plan to get there between 12 - 1pm depending if the mutineers want to stop off at the cheese factory

So come on who wants to join us??
.
.
.
.

right guys anyone wanting a mini convoy to the start point we are meeting 9 - 9.15 outside Bannys @ Boundary Mill Colne.........

I plan on meeting up with mini convoy at Bannys - look forward to seeing you all

I will be spending the day (and Sunday, probably) under the 200sx, trying to figure out where all my Nissan's turbo boost has disappeared to.

I've added a few more and tried to give each a title so you have some clue of what your looking at. If there are any of you out there who want to add to the album please feel free.

BTW David, having missed the run did you eventually figure out where all your boost had gone?

Well today, finally, the mystery of the disappearing boost was resolved. After removing the turbo we found that the wastegate was jammed partly open.

The wastegate flap valve had become loose on its actuator shaft, allowing the edge of the valve to jam in the wastegate.

Wastegate permanently open = no boost.

Easily fixed thank the Lord! Wooooooooooooosh!

Saw the blood on the steering wheel in the crash pics. Hope everyone was ok. Unhappy, no doubt, but still breathing at least?

Yeah, Paul had a cut to the scalp, but he's fine now and looking for a REPLACEMENT!. He might even have found one by now!:
