thanks, its not a priority for me at the moment (as long a it keeps working) I'm more annoyed by how inaccurate it seems to be, the obd speed readings seem accurate when compared to GPS, its also strange that the speedo basically starts at 10 but thats the same on all of them

+ another one. By the time you have got into the instrument cluster & got it apart you could be busy rebuilding the binnacle with a fresh speedo in.
I don’t know where the mileage information is stored, is it in the instrument or the ECU? If in the instrument then you could find yourself with a higher mileage car or lower, but the chances are that the speedo will be more accurate.

In case of MG F/TF mileage is stored in the instrument cluster itself.

Yes, change the cluster, change the mileage. My current cluster shows mileage approximately 100,000 less than actual, lol.

One of the fiddliest parts of the plasma dial conversion is getting the needles refitted to read accurately and reliably.
