What you've got to consider is that most camp sites get fully booked from last week in July & all of August, plus expensive.
Also they would not take bookings for just one night in this period. June would be best bet.
Some where round Worcester ;)

Vaguely central is cool!!

We're up for it depending on dates

Not sure about camping though, travelodge would be best.

Wasn't this mooted last year untill someone got herself banned??

Yes Andy, it was suggested last year, hence my op saying 'previously mooted'
I would stick my neck out and say that if this had gone ahead, the venue would have been the Black Boy pub, 5 minutes down t'road from where Somebody lived. Like every MM meeting actually.

Ok. Bitching over. Moving on.....
Our friend Forrester has extensive camp/caravan location experience.

Statistically, the location will be England central-ish.
Could I suggest maybe Shropshire? Lots to see. Iron bridge etc. museums and stunning scenery.
Do we agree camping facilities with beds available nearby/on site. Somewhere to paartay.
Suggestions please Forrester.
Comments everyone else please.

If you're thinking of June, don't forget Silverstone is 14-16 June - with lots of folks camping there it might be worth considering weekend of 28-30 June to give people a weekend off camping in between the two.

Btw, I'm in South Wales (Pontypool) just to bring that average central a little further down south ;)

A lot of camp sites have camping fields especially for rallies, but still have access to all facilities. This could be the best choice.
However, even if they have caravans, chalets etc., it would be doubtful if you could hire them for one night [expense of linen, cleaning etc.]
So it looks as though you need to find a site with rally facilities that is near a Travelodge etc.
Needs a bit of sorting, but will have a look.

Would be up for this, dates depending etc. We are in Richmond (The proper one in North Yorkshire) How about Billing Aquadrome in Northampton, massive site with a travelode on site as well, easy access (10 mins of A1) just a thought...
