Update on my broken plynth thing ..
Autoglass phoned me back on the day to say they could not locate the part it was obselete, however if I got them a second hand one they would fit it ..
I made one phone call to Brown and Gammon, Dean in parts located a brand new one for me ..
Phoned Autoglass back, and got told the job had now been closed, they did not have an account with B & G so could not order the part, so that was the end of it ..
Really ..
Phoned up my insurance, who put pressure on, but got told as I had agreed to take liability for replacement, after pointing out that was not possible as why would I have been phoned to say they could not get the part if I was taking liability and to sort it out ..
Phoned Insurance again Monday and was told to give them 5 days ..
Yesterday I had a follow up email about the performance of Autoglass and was asked to rate them ...
Straight Zero's across the board, along with a statement that I was now taking them to the small claims court for the part, repair, compensation and costs ..
Phone call today, part has been ordered and will be fitted Friday morning, along with profuse apologies from the General Manager and a lot of grovelling ..
Result ..
The moral of this post is never ever mess with the owner of an MGF, we go 0 to b1tch in 2 seconds flat ...
