Hello,
2000 MGF with MEMS1.9
Is there anyway to make the MEMS1.9 unit learn the immobilizer code from the 5AS alarm unit when the immobilizer is engaged using the PSCAN?
It seems that the PSCAN will not allow the MEMS1.9 to ‘learn’ the immobilizer code from the 5AS with the immobilizer is engaged.
Or is there a way to disengage the immobilizer to allow the code to be learned?
Many thanks

Firstly this thread is posted in wrong section, so I assume Admin/Mod team will move it to correct section.

To answer your question. No it is not possible to do such thing. This is security feature and if alarm box is immobilized you cannot force the Engine ECU to learn code from such alarm box. You also cannot force the alarm box to unimmobilize itself other but with use of appropriate matched fob.
Otherwise it would be pretty easy for thiefes to put another engine ECU pair it with alarm box and drove car away.

The engine ECU can only learn the 5AS code (the EMS) when the 5AS is actually transmitting it.
The 5AS only transmits it when it is "unlocked" or unimmobilised.
