Just an update.
Its still going on strong. Passed the MOT needing just a spring and the main beam adjusting (swapping a bulb and turning it the right way round).
- Its got rusty sills, so will tetroseal them at my local £10 an hour hire garage on their car lift.
- The fob has lost its central locking ability, but I'm going to buy a cheap VAG and try code it up.
- I fixed the spare wheel carrier from a scrappy
- Also fitted a new boot handle switch sensor as the boot didnt open for a bit
TBH i might sell but as its been a good faithful thing for over a year I'm not in a rush to sell it.
However....
Maybe a 1.2 fabia estate on 02 Reg + could be a consideration. I don't really use all 7 seats, most of the time its a 4 person outing so I'm liking the idea of a 1.2 running costs + £30 per year tax bill.
I use my pedal bike most of the time during the week to get to work so saving a packet.
