Thank you for all your responses - Finally found the underside cover for the slam panel, that covers the bonnet catch and it's this that the holes line up with. Mystery solved and the remainder of the items removed now installed. My Lesson Learned is put all the bits removed in one place and not as I did - scattered around the workshop!
