Camshaft sensor fault 3 years 10 months ago #193335

Last Tuesday went out for a drive pulled up at a junction and the car just cut out, Restarted fine and off I went got caught at a set of traffic lights and the idle was poor and kept stalling.
Scanned it with a OBD2 tool came back with P0340 (camshaft sensor) I have already replaced this last year anyway after a bit of digging around the engine bay I found that the pre cat lamba sensor wire had melted so I fitting a new one and the car now runs fine however it has a very slight lumpy idle after doing another scan came back with the same code P0340 so I robbed the sensor off my ZS. and it's still the same the code comes back when ever it's cleared, I check with a multi meter and there is still power to the sensor, So I'm at a lost?

Hi and welcome to the forum

If some of the wiring has melted I would be checking the rest of that part of the loom.

It was just the wiring for the lamba sensor that melted it was a cheap one any way, But that has been replaced.
