Hi haven't used the tf160 for a while it is at a garage and needs to be moved to the house asap and needs a mot but wiper motor is not working, had tf running for a while to get it out of garage motor got hot as wipers where switched on but not moving pulled casing off and magnets stayed on armature. quickly cleaned it up and reassembled. When you spin armature wipers are free enough. Question is if magnets are loose will it still work if I clean it up or is it new motor time. Car only used in dry well only goes out if dry?

If magnets are detached from outer casing, and stuck to armature, then the motor will not work!

Could try fixing magnets back on the casing, but most effective repair would be a new motor/wiper assembly.

Plenty of used spares out there for fraction of the price of a new unit.
May be worth fitting a Mike Satur upgrade linkage while the mechanism is out, unless you are a fair weather driver only!
Usual expectancy of the mechanism with everyday use is about 70-80K miles.
