Anyone? It seems the top rear arm and lower bush for the standard shocks are the same - so hoping Bilstein used the standard bushes too?

Wanna buy some and fit the before I start refurbishing the shocks. Thanks

My lower bushes have come up as an advisory today when I had my MOT.

Would you need a bearing press to replace them?

Hey Bob. I ended up talking direct to Bilstein who did me a deal on original bushes.... But I think they are the same! I used my £49 bush press off eBay.... Was very easy to do.

The bush arrived today, I haven't tried fitting it yet but the signs are good. The dimensions tally with one advertised on ebay so I'm confident this is the correct replacement.
Thanks for posting this thread Adam it was the only one I could find to point me in the right direction. It's a big money saver compared to having to swap the whole shock absorber.

outer diameter 40mm
outside width 24mm
inner shaft outside diameter 23mm
inner shaft overall length 57mm
inner diameter 12mm

Am I right in thinking these arevtge same bushes that are fitted into the rear upper arm assembly

Yep they're the same as far as I know.

Imagine how much I saved on the Bilsteins! LOL The bushes are really easy to change and with new lower bushes and new upper arm bushes (they're next on my list!) you have years of worry free motoring ahead ........ at least bush-wise anyhow!

What sort of bush press was this? There are loads on eBay and I'd like to try to get the right thing. Have you got an item number/link?

Replacing these bushes could save a load of money over the cost of whole suspension units.
