My Tf packed up recently on the motorway it started losing power, then lights; so I thought that's at least a new belt and alternator needed as the battery was replaced about eight months ago.
Turned out that it was the 80 amp fuse holder located on the top of the rear bulkhead. A bad connection caused the fuse leg to burn out, the fuse itself remained unbroken; so it may be worth checking the connection here and the cables up to it as well.
The parts needed to replace the holder and fuse were less than £10; so cheap repair, and it came with a plastic cover which will help keep moisture out and water drips when the boot is opened.
