Re: STARTER BUTTON FITTING 11 years 6 months ago #71913

My old fiat coupe had a sexy push button start. The key had to be in and the ignition turned on to operate it. It's a gimmick that wears off and becomes a bit of a chore. Although, it's fun letting the passengers start the car for you. I know all my nieces and nephews thought it was great fun. To keep them from messing with it I told them it converted into an ejector seat button once the car was moving.

That's a good look starter button Allan. Nice find.

Just looked at the others they have available and this one looks very nice. The font used is similar to the font on the F Mk2 / TF. To compare the four different instrument clusters used on the F/TF click here to see the T-Bar MGF/TF QI Facts thread

It really is old technology, though. My first car had a separate starter button. 1956 Standard 10!

Whooooa!!!! I HAVE CRACKED IT !! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thank you all for your help :hugs: it was very very useful and with the assistance of the wiring diagram that David posted i managed to locate the two correct wires and it works like a dream :woohoo:

I will do a description of what i did to install the kit which i bought from DEMON TUNING http://www.demontuning.co.uk/

The Honda S2000 starter button needs a lot of cutting away to get it to fit as it fouls on the gearchange metal housing.

Thank you all again :yesnod:
