would this do?

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-73738-valvoline-synpower-cvt-premium-gear-oil.aspx

claims its BMW EZL 799 approved...

or this? http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-970-fuchs-titan-atf-cvt-high-performance-automatic-transmission-fluid.aspx

claims BMW 83 22 0 136 376 & BMW 83 22 0 429 154 approved...

or any suppliers for the Esso stuff?

Oz.

*edi*

seems the Valvoline stuff is direct replacement for the Esso EZL 799...

how much is in the CVT box? 4.5l seems to ring a bell...

how are you only getting 25.6 mpg out of your car?

mine bangs and pops and over fuels on over run and im getting close to 37-40 depending on runs, normally get 400-410miles out of a tank...

I don't drive frugally  . But when I did for a little while I got that up to almost 35mpg. Now, here's the bit that counts.. As you know, it's lpg. So, it has around 10% less range and power. Not that you'd notice the power loss too much around town or when cruising on the motorway. Plus with the lower cost of that fuel, it effectively equates to 50 to 70mpg depending on how I drive.

I could try driving slowly again for a while to see if I could improve on that. I could also put the roof up to give me better aerodynamics. On second thoughts.. nah.

how much was the LPG swap, and have you lost boot space with the LPG tank (or is it in the front?)

It was in the car when I bought it Oz. The guy paid £1800 for it a few years earlier. I heard you can get it done for as little as £600 or so now.

Some pics.

They do 'spare wheel' tanks as well. But then you would lose your spare wheel space. It's such a small car. But for such a small car it can carry more than most others in the competition.
