Well i bet you were all thinking of Bird Poo !!
NO !! it's that horrible mark that is left by your Sat nav mount
Never fear

for the solution is the all new
Mgf/Mgtf satnav / phone holder thingyamagig.
Well i can hear you all asking where do i get one of those??
the simple answer is You make one !!
and here is how i made mine.
firstly i found an old fencing bracket and marked a section 60mm wide on both sides.
Next with my trusty tin snips i cut out the required size and shaped the corners,
to avoid any nasty cuts i cut round the edges and filed all of them.
Then to spuce it up a little i spayed it white
This is the first part of the bracket made now onto the section that will hold your suction mount.
i have thought of a couple of ideas on this one.
the first is to create a photo frame ( choosing your favorite photo of course)
heres how i made mine
using two front covers from some CD cases
i then marked out two identical squares 90mm x 90mm this is large enough for the suction mount
once again using my snips carefully i cut out the two squares and filed and sanded the edges down
i then applied super glue to three of the sides of the rear cover and placed the front cover on top ( make sure you only glue three sides this is to allow for placing and removing your picture)
i chose the Lovely picture of Sophie as an example
i kind of rushed this a little and taking a little more time the finnish could be improved
next using the super glue again i attatched the photo frame to the earlier prepared bracket
the second idea i had was to create my own Mg badge holder
which used only one piece of cd case cut to the same size as the mg badge
i bought the badge from these people www.Capricorn1.co.uk and chose a 90mm size one, this design matches the badges on my bonnet, boot and wheels.
Next its out to the car and carefully pull out the center air grills you do not have to completely remove them. just pull them forward far enough to slide your bracket under neath them, then push them both back into place together and this will secure your holder in place
my sat nav cable is routed behind the center consule down to a spare socket in the footwell
next attatch your suction mount to your chosen design and there you have the completed Mgf/Mgtf satnav / phone holder thingyamagig.
some more phots from different angles
This brings your sat nav closer to you to operate ( not recommended whilst driving of course ) the rear of the frame / badge also helps protect your sat nav from hot air from the grill.
as per all How to guides i take no responsibility for any lost or glued fingers damaged nails or other accidents that you may encouter whilst making your own bracket.
and would also like to add that no animals were harmed in the making of this how to guide.
though monty did try his best to help out but couldnt really get the idea of it
thank you very much and i wish you all sucess
