If you have fun working on a car there will be plenty of that - lol. They can be a bit tricky to work on sometimes if you have big hands but the parts are cheap, at least at the moment.

I like them because they feel different from hatchbacks etc. Mid engined 2 seater with the engine behind your head. Not many cars like that at an affordable price. I can only think of the Toyota MR2 or Lotus Ellise. I had a mx5 and it felt a bit bland and despite what Mazda claim, it's only technicaly mid engined (the engine is in the front but it is a bit more back over the center of the wheels than a normal car).

Still plenty of good cheap ones about if you are looking.
