My mate is a guy called David Bourne he is based in Staffordshire near to Uttoxeter. He was breaking a few ZT's and 75s last time I went up for bits, although he is finding them rarer to acquire now. He has a good selection of bits about him. I will be calling on him tomorrow as he has some nice nearly new tyres he is selling me.

I replaced the rear discs today and also fitted new pads and shoes and clocked the old discs, one was running 0.2mm out, which I thought was a bit on the high side, new discs are all running at under 0.1 mm now. Not as good as my TF but I think they will be ok at that.

I also removed the rear hubs and cleaned the ABS sensors and reluctor rings. Re fitting the hubs I managed to get one of the bearings to tighten up a little more as shown by the position of the dent in the stake nut. I had to re use the nuts temporarily as my replacements had not arrived. I did not swap them, as I rebuilt each side before stripping the other side down. New nuts will be fitted asap.

I know this is a F and TF forum, but some of this info about the ABS signalling is relevant to our cars so I am hoping that some peeps are getting some useful data from my quest to clear up my ZT's ABS issue.

I have not yet test driven the car yet, as it was getting on, so will see if there is an improvement tomorrow. The handbrake certainly is felling a lot more useful even without bedding it in!

Think I’ve met Dave or bought something from him years ago. I’ve had my 75 contemporary se for over 8 years love it. That bearing looks like the one I took of my old Connie.
What are the back plates like? It might be worth changing them while your at it.
