I'd be grateful to know what the bias voltage in the 02 sensor circuit on MEMS 2J should be - Key On, Engine Off - as measured with eg PSCAN etc, ie NOT with a meter or a 'scope, which would give false readings due to the very high impedance of the bias circuit compared to the impedance of the measuring device.

With MEMS 1.6, the bias voltage on the 02 circuit is 0.45V, but I suspect that with MEMS 2J it might be 0.50V, and I'd be most grateful to have that confirmed or otherwise.

  • Many thanks , indeed. So you could end up with the Rover diagnostics as the bonus add-on package to PSCAN.😁.

I had 2 articles published in Car Mechanics magazine (CM) on the various free Rover software packages (none do immobilisers and most are based around MEMS 1.6). The first was published about 5 years ago, with the update around 10 months ago. When you get CAN and freeze-frame working, that could be a good time for me to see if CM would be interested in a further follow-up article on PSCAN alone, which would bring a bit of extra publicity, and would nicely round off the subject.

I’m really impressed with my new PSCAN - programming my new fobs on a Rover 100 was a piece of cake.

I don’t have access to a modern (OBD2) vehicle, otherwise I’d easily find the answer (and it won’t display on my Rover), but I see there’s an OBD2/EOBD option, which I presume is the standard, generic OBD2 data (rather than any manufacturer-specific data).

How extensive is this option in PSCAN? Is it limited to the statutory emissions data, or does it extend beyond that?

    Thanks

    Martin

I'm presuming that if I run Windows and Linux on the same computer, and install pscan software under both operating systems, then that counts as just one computer, not 2.     That's correct?        (The laptop is dual booted with 2 SSD's inside the laptop.)

    Many thanks.

    Martin

Just got my pscan.    Changelog shows data logging was added in Jan 2019.    But I don’t see anywhere to turn it on, so I guess it’s turned on when live data is selected.   But how is it then saved and later accessed?

    Many thanks
