  • Well, almost there now, everything is removed, everything drained and unbolted, this guide has helped me a lot thanks. All I have to do now is drain the hydragas units and then uncouple them, and jiggle the engine and frame out whilst raising the car. I managed to take the dip stick/oil filler extension off so hopefully I won't have to raise the car so high now but never the less, the guide was a great help, so thanks again.

  • Hi, at  long last I am able to follow this and have started to remove the engine/subframe,...........you'r not kidding when you say that some of the nuts n bolts could be corroded, still am following this deconstruction and have eventually got the back box off, the rear bumper off and make quick work of the access panel, and the rest of the exhaust system. It is a good thread and I thank you for posting it. tommorrow I'll start the drain down and removing all the visible ancillaries as per your guide..............cheers.

  • Thanks for that......even more axle stands to get, ha ha. when you I release the pressure from the top up points under the bonnet, I know it is left and right, but when I discharge the system does it effect both the front and rear? and as regards the to getting the car on stands you just mean the rear don't you as I intend to put the front wheels on ramps..
Thanks for the reply and sorry to ask just stupid questions just seen so many you tube videos out there on this subject that I like to be over cautious on things rather than sorry...
