Thank you, Bruce. If the project takes flight, I'll post pics and comments. My wife wants me to go the boring route and let the local auto electrician professionally fit one, but where's the fun in that?
Just picked up my second MGF. The first was a 1997 British Racing Green, but it was so bad the ragtop and doors were basically just for decoration so it turned into a swimming pool whenever it rained! It went to someone whose hobby is restoring classic cars, and I'm told it's now back to showroom condition.
The new one is a 2002 1.8i with both hard and soft tops. The red is a re-spray, but I'm pretty sure it's a re-spray of the original colour. It has 66,000 kms on the clock and it's the most fun I've ever had driving a car.
One thing I'm wondering ... my daughter is doing computer science at school, and is looking for a real-world application for her python skills. I've found a few carputer/reversing camera projects on the web, built on a raspberry pi platform. Has anyone ever done one of these in a F? If so, any pointers?
