    Hello

The time has come to part with my toy.....

I will give it a wash later on and get some decent pictures but I just wanted to put some info on first to gauge interest.

    So here we go...
    MG TF 160bhp 2002 £2995 ONO
    X-Power grey
62,751 miles but this will go up as currently in use
Purchased last March from Rococo Moto Ltd who are an MG specialist. They had carried out cambelt and tensioner change with waterpump and multi-layer headgasket which they do as part as a full service before selling their cars.
I bought this at the beginning of lockdown to keep me busy and it certainly did that. I have carried out plenty of sensible upgrades and modifications during my ownership to make it the car it is now which i will list below.
Recent grooved discs and black diamond predator pads
    Brand new rear brake calipers
    New brake fluid
Brake servo brace (fitted snorkel at the same time as mine came with the old mgF box)
    * all these things have helped dramatically improve the braking performance and made the most of the large AP calipers
Proper spare wheel (still have the original MG puncture repair kit)
Front splitter from cupra-R (makes a huge difference to the look of the front end and in my opinion it feels more stable at speed)
    New MG badges all round
New exhaust downpipe and 02 sensor
Wind deflector (makes a big difference)
Genuine MG Roll Hoops finished in matt black (look great and would save your life if the car was to flip!)
All 4 speakers upgraded and slimline subwoofer fitted under passenger seat (sound system is so much better than standard)
Sony bluetooth cd player (can use sat nav through it which is handy)
I have re-routed the air intakes into a cone filter covered by a custom heat shield which sounds great on acceleration but I can put the original air box back in if needed.
New mats, wipers and various other plastic trims/bolts that I wanted to renew to freshen the car up.
The car also comes with MG mud flaps all round
Toyo sports stainless steel backbox which sounds great
Catalytic converter had been recently replaced when I bought it as it was still nice and shiny
The coolant pipes which run under the car have been upgraded to stainless steel which will help prevent head gasket failure
All electrics work as they should
    Roof is in good condition
    Interior is in good condition
    Wheels are in good condition
    Paintwork is in good condition
    Car was covered during winter

Overall it's been a great car and runs beautifully. Gearbox feels tight, brakes are great, exhaust will be fine for years to come, tyres have enough tread for a while, coolant does what it should, does not leak.

There a couple of squeaks coming from the suspension which I believe is down to a bush but it drives great so never did anything with it.

There are a couple of minor blemishes on the bodywork but for a near 20 year old car it is in very good condition.

    Car is located near Newmarket

    Thanks for reading!

    Hello

So my heating stopped blowing out hot air the other day.

Done plenty of research and both pipes in the ashtray are cold.

I've bled from the 3 points and just flowing coolant with no signs of air.

Am I missing something or do u just keep repeating the process until something happens?

Coolant levels has been rising and falling a little which makes me think it is just an air lock but any other ideas of how to get it working would be great.

Coolant was fully replaced a few months ago and it's been working fine.

    Cheers
    Ian
