    Hi,
I am looking at issues on Misfire in another post.
Whilst looking at this I checked the live data, Coils, Injectors etc
    Three things occurred to me:-
    1) The log function gives a list of files. What is the log function and how is it used. I don't want to overwrite or corrupt anything.
    2) Is there any way to record the live data?
    3) As interesting as the figures are, there is no benchmark for normal or max/ min figures? Is there any published data on this?

    Hi,
I have just had slight misfires and the engine management light come on after a short journey. My mind goes to multiple issues from plugs to fuel.
Does PSCAN diagnose cylinder misfire, or is P0300 as detailed as it gets.

I have read various suggestion on line all of which could lead to lots of cost chasing the issue.
    UPDATE
After a bit more investigation, I suspect it may be one cylinder when the engine is cold. Last night the water temp hadn't risen before stopping (getting the wine) and starting again when the issue happened. Putting my foot down caused the problem to worsen.
Today it was a bit lumpy until the engine warmed a quick 30 mile trip seemed to show no issue ( Wife driving and me looking at live data) Slight variation in coil charging.....don't know if it is significant...or what is normal.

I have now replaced all four tyres with falkens. I have to say that the rumbling I could hear from the rear.....I was suspecting a grumbling bearing...….has ceased. This I now suspect was the wearing of the Nankang tyres or a flat spot.
    So falkens performing good.
One thing I did find out some complete knob had used an air gun to do up the nuts on a rear wheel an cross threaded the stud....The fitter thought I was weird insisting that I changed the wheels an didn't use an air gun. He understood when I asked him for a tap for the nut as I couldn't get the thing back on....
    Thanks for all your input.

Looked on the UK websites for Hangkook and they don't show the fronts for 16" and the correct aspect.

I am biting the bullet and going with Falken. (5 New tyres because you can't get the unidirectional tyres)

Websites for tyres appear hopeless for information. I can't work out if they are driven by stock availability or something else.

I have been on several (and the importers website) and you put in the vehicle, get Falkens on the rear, all well and good. Then search for the front and get completely different suggestions. Which I know that Falken do the correct sizes, but the returns don't show it...

Thanks, never considered Hangkook. They are unidirectional, and looking at the spec seem ok in the dry and good in the wet....Just need to find out if they import into the UK.
Using their Tyre finder, the MG comes under Rover and they don't list the TF....only F up to 2005....;)
Assuming yours are on 15" rims, you have them on an F.

Has anybody tried these on a TF?

I followed up with the Falken importer for the AS210...don't import those sizes into the UK.

Agreed. I am told the issue with the TR1s was mixing the country of Origins...Malaysians go OK with Malaysians but not Japanese (Front to Rear).
I'm determined to find a good set of Unidirectional tyres....I seem to be going round in circles. Bit like if I get it wrong...;)
Falken AS210 all weather looks the part, but can't find anybody that stocks them.
Their website is...useless.. unless you are German I suspect.

  • When I was working at Longbridge the rolling code was seen as a security feature to prevent scanners getting the code. They also shortened the distance the FOBs worked to help prevent scanners picking up the codes from a distance.

I have seen Falken offer an AS210 All weather tyre (M&S)for the MGTF. This appears to be unidirectional. I looks a reasonable tread pattern.
My car is a daily runner, and with the UK not being a Summer/ Winter Tyre Market, I only know M&S being used on Land Rovers etc.
Anybody have experience with these particular Tyres.
I met a Goodyear Executive about a year or so ago and discussed why the original Eagle F1s weren't available.. He just smiled....

I have also heard good reports about the TR1s. They are asymmetrical and I worry about the pattern of grooves pushing water in front of the tyre on one side of the vehicle and to the rear on the other side. I know the radial groove is supposed to get rid of the water but....
