Hi all,
Just got back from Gaydon,it was my first MG show and we really enjoyed it ,hood down all day.Food prices on a par with most bike rallies I go to and quite a good selection of traders.Spent some time looking around the cars and noticed one with a tow bar on which appeared to connect to the boot floor and had a box section running under the full length of the floor but could not quite see where it attached to.Was nearly tempted with a discounted glass rear screen £200 fitted but as I have the roof down every time i go out I would only see it when it was sitting in the carport.Put some faces to some forum users, could hardly miss Adam with his flag.Really looking forward to attending some more shows and would have liked to camp as I have amassed alot of camping gear that I tow in a trailer behind my bike hence the interest in the tow bar.
Regards Neil
Didn't manage to get there this year however on the subject of a tow-bar. Back in 1998 (i think it was) MG started NOT recommending a tow bar on the MGF. The result of this is that if you insure you baby with anyone other than an F/TF or kit car specialist they will flatly turn you down for a tow bar. Admiral categorically told me no to one..... not allowed under any circumstances on Meg! I was really dissapointed as I wanted to buy a crashed F and cut it in half like I did to a mini when I had a Mk1 of them... its so cute pulling a matching half car behind you! GRRRRR
It would have looked like this:

Hi Adam,
Shame really as I really like camping,I thought about emptying the contents of the trailer into my estate but did not know if I would be allowed on site with a non MG marque vehicle.
Regards Neil
I must admit, as this was the last Fest for a while, I was very disappointed. Not many traders there this time. Maybe because this was only a one day event, I dont know.. There was however a massive turn out of MGF/TF's which was fantastic to see...
We made our way from the 'free' run from Warwick services with about 20 cars... Fantastic.. Again it was great to see some old faces and of course to meet up with a few new ones![]()
