Hi all i think my wiper motor is on the way out as it sounds like the blades do when they are worn, new ones last month, or could it be the linkages making the noise ?

Possibly bearings in motor.

Yes it makes a noise like wiper blades I believe you can get a kit [ new bearings ] from mg mania and if your budget will allow also get the up rated wiper mechanism
Also while the motor is off the car drill a small hole in the case at the bottom to let any water that may get in to get out. These is what causes the bearings to fail
