I am going to buy a SS back box but am unsure which one to go for. Which is best re performance / sound regardless of price.

This is an exhausting topic (frequent question) so a search for 'exhaust' would be a good start.

Some S/S exhausts can be very loud so there can't be a 'best' sound it's too personal. However the Mike Satur Daytona seems to have a cult following. Please bear in mind I've never seen one let alone heard it. I'm very happy with the my MGOC Super Sports but I've nothing to compare it against.

They did a comparison of available ss exhausts a while ago and the conclusion at that time was that the Daytona sounded best and gave best bhp improvement.
People have their own favourites of course, and hearing the different exhausts is the only way to ensure you get one that you like and can live with day to day.

There are a few out there, but for me it is a Daytona every time.

So much so that when I bought the second TF I bought a Daytona for that too.

It's just such a nice sporty sound, but only when you want it. Cruising around town it is a pretty sociable exhaust, but take the revs up on the country lanes and you are rewarded with a fantastic sound track.

Just to add a bit more I did not buy a TT or a Daytona etc I had one made by a company called top gear [ you can google them ] and they make a box to YOUR spec £350 ish

There are two Daytonas on eBay at the moment, the one that comes with a car attached is half the price of the exhaust on it's own.

You don't normally see them on ebay much.
