So I know I'm leaving myself wide open to hardtop flaming but I'm thinking of getting a hardtop for over the winter. Only problem is they're like hen's teeth over here. Watching a couple on eBay but I'd have to get them shipped over to Northern Ireland.

On that note, what sort of weight & size would one be if I was getting a courier to lift one?

TIA

it's around 18kg,
if you pack it properly you'll need a box about 1.4 x 1.4 x 0.5 mtr - so a total of approx 1m³.

It may be cheaper to collect with the F and drive home with the hardtop mounted. :?
as ever,
Rob

It might be, but it's not cheap to take a car across the water, even just for a day trip. Even if a courier charged £100 I think I'd be saving money. Plus it would need to be somewhere within 3 or 4 hours drive of Cairnryan.

Might keep an eye out & make a trip over next year to get a remap convene along with a shopping spree.

Just looked in my handbook..and it reckons it is 20Kgs...I thought it was ~18Kgs but...without weighing it I'd take the official figure... :yesnod:

Sure, I'd be interested in taking a look. Unfortunately it might be a few days before I can get down there but we could arrange something if you're free.

Have you any pics or details for the meantime?

Cheers

Completely forgot about this thread as it was a month later before the hardtop became available . Anyhow it's a dark blue colour and would do it for 275 . Stick it on yer car and drive home in a bit of warmth
