Hello all,

Had a fair few problems trying to get compressed pictures on here. Hence the 6 month delay. Car is finally ready for the road and taxed, mot'd and insured.

Work carried out since I purchased the car in November has been the following:

Brake pipes replaced.
Coolant pipes replaced.
Serviced.
Heater snorkel upgrade.
Boot lid loom repaired.
Steering wheel redyed due to wear and tear.
Replaced cd player with OEM one.
New wiper blades.
Brake discs stripped and cleaned.
EPAS reset.
Carpets stripped out and pressure washed.
All interior metal sanded and waxoyled.
Underneath scrubbed and waxoyled.
Hydragas pumped up with help from a very kind MGF register member.
New rear reg plate.

Lots of 'pointless' stuff done including a bloody good clean, clayed and waxed.
Roof scrubbed and re water proofed.
Seats scrubbed and cleaned.
New tax disc holder.
New flip key mod.
Rear plastic screen refurbed with plastic restorer.
Aux socket added to centre consul.

It's been a long haul, but well worth it. It failed the MOT first time round with only minor faults but passed eventually.

Needs new tyres all round now really. They are legal but a bit scrubbed from the out of kilter EPAS fault.

Most importantly-wouldn't have achieved half of the stuff I've done without help from the wonderful folks on here. So a sincere thanks to all those who've shown me encouragement and given lots of helpful advice. :broon: :hugs:

There aren't more pictures of the exterior as the paint is still in a rubbish state. All booked into the paint guy in town in a couple of weeks. So I'll feel a bit happier about showing it warts and all!

Well done LL :broon:

Looks a decent motor, which will no doubt be even better once you've had the paint job.

Thanks everyone. Very kind words from you. It's all been done on an extremely tight budget, so very pleased with it.

For anyone who's interested-the carpets have been recoloured using black satin spray paint from Wilkos. Basically clean the carpets thoroughly and then spray in an up and down motion avoiding any 'clumps' and you are left with carpets that look like new.

The paint doesn't show on the carpet and looks likes they have been redyed. It is waterproof and looks quite different to the carpets when first bought it. There were maggots crawling about and they were covered in grease and oil.
