I know that there are loads of threads about what to do when your linkage packs up.

However I can't see anything regarding prevention.

Basically is there any point in putting the clips on the ball joint type things, which are available from ebay etc?

Apologies if this has previously been covered.

The clips are cheap and they will prevent future failure
So fitting them is a good idea.
