Thanks Leigh. They will be ready on Wednesday (I'm not in a hurry and they are very busy) although it may be a while before I fit them as I plan to do the brakes at the same time. I've gone for the TWSsports 2 finish which is slightly brighter than the original square spokes and looks close to the 15 inch minilight style - should go well with my bright mesh. I'll post some pics as soon as I have the wheels home. Richard

I collected my refurbished wheels yesterday evening. The work, done by The Wheel Specialist, Inverness, was remove tyres, bath all wheels in acid, shot blast, sand, paint with TWS Sport 2 finish, refit tyres & balance. The cost was £280 inclusive of VAT or £70/corner if you prefer. I'll post the before & after shots below so that you can judge the results for yourselves. The wheels had all been mildly kerbed in the past and had some corrosion on the spokes and face but very heavy corrosion on some of the inner wheels - you can still see if you look very closely some signs of pitting on the inners in a couple of places but I'm more that happy with the results.

After (more in next post):

Here are a couple more after shots:

TWS were very competitive locally (OK, not a lot of competition) and about 20% cheaper than Rimtech. They were also very nice people to deal with and the boss, Kenny, is a car enthusiast too.

And on the subject of wheels and other bits of our little British sports cars I thought I'd post this too (before refurb):

The point being I suppose that many of the components were sourced from abroad (the lights I replaced were either French or Belgian, the filters are all 'foreign' too) - something the LE500 owners can respond with when they are occassionally told that their MGs are Chinese!

A lovely job, Richard...you must be pleased...The TWS guys in East Grinstead were similarly personable when I had mine done..but a bit more expensive....they must think we are all bankers darn sarf..!

Great looking finish :broon:

I'm on my way to get my wheels in about half an hour.I took them here http://www.fandmpowdercoating.co.uk/alloy-wheels.php?phpMyAdmin=3HztuzTSCxA7xw0iBYFcOniduDa

£200 all in for the same service, I hope mine turn out as well as your have Richard.
Px wheels wanted £250 so I did a bit of googling and came up with a cheaper closer alternative.

Got round to fitting my refurbed wheels today. Test drive revealed quite a different feel to the car having gone from 15 inch wheels with Continental Premium Contact on the front and Premium Contact 2s on the rear. Steering feels much sharper. Didn't push anything though as I want to bed the tyres in properly. Here is a picture:
