New seats ordered..

Were listed at £148 yesterday.. looked again today and they are £99 each..

Will get them re-trimmed in custom leather if they fit the car

Chances are the seat belt will hit the shoulder portion of the seat.. so may be looking at inertia reel 3 point harnesses..

At £99 each they look very good.

Should be here in 5 days (coming from Germany) so will post up some pics..

Also got a steering wheel on its way from Italy..

Cool but I suspect off road use only due to the horns.

According to MOT inspector the regs state: steering wheel not modified so as to pose danger to user, nothing to make it weaker.

Showed him pic.. There is nothing in regs to say it must be a complete loop.. (I thought it had to be a loop) and he says as it's as the manufacturer intended it should (he needs to see it for real first) it will pass..

The end of the horns are foam..

Can always swap wheels buy undoing the 6 small bolts that holds it to the hub.. The button back stays put..

It's fairly thick.. And actually fits my hands perfectly.. Feels great at 3/9 hand position





I can reach indicators etc easily..





Will give me full view of the uber cool gauges I'm currently having made in America



Can even hold the wheel at 10/2 position..



Despite the obvious top bit missing.. Its way stiffer than the e bay wheel I took off

I deffo prefer the new one. Not as blingy as the other one, imho.

I love gadgets.. Hate chrome..

So this one more my cup of tea too..

Thinking the button back may get a paint job yet

Spent some time today making this.. The first of a pair..

Why? One is to protect the edge of the seat bolster from wear.. As people get in/out.. And two... In a vague attempt to add a little stiffness to the rear bulkhead..

The car will get 8x plates welded in at key points.. And the bar work will get 8 feet welded on.. SO eventfully this frame will bolt in/out with 12 bolts.. On the front bulk head.. Along the floor and on two places behind the seat..

The tube is 3.4mm wall thickness CDS and the flat bar 6mm.. The long section along the floor constructed as an 'I'' section for strength..

It's in zinc primer at moment but once it's had the feet added it will be sprayed silver..
