I have a busy one this weekend, I'm the organiser for the MG Car Club of Tasmania State Concours d'Elegance, Annual General Meeting and Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday and then the cook for the recovery breakfast for about 60 people on Sunday. Photos to follow sometime after I recover.

glad I had today off work apparently all the roads where blocked up round here by half 6 cuz of all the losers agueing overs tvs that are ten quid cheaper than normal!! Just took me an hour to do a ten mile round trip to the motor factors and back to pick up my discs and pads!!
I wished they would stop all this yank shit and keep it over the pond with douche bags!!

On the plus side I got my discs and pads at a steal .. no thanks to black friday but because the manager of the motor factors is an old friend and put it through as a trade deal. So I got ferodo pads and mintex discs for a nats bollock under 40 quid ...regular price 60 quid so well happy with that

Had a break from the rain this afternoon so did a few bits

Firstly I adjusted the switch like throttle and now I'm kicking myself I didn't do it sooner at first I thought I was having trouble with the clutch bite being to high but after reading a few posts on this forum and others I found the cause to be a very loosely adjusted throttle cable and even better it's simple fix that doesn't cost a dime!! From the picture you can see how much I've had to adjust the screw (lighter rust colour on the thread )

Made the world of a difference , instant throttle response and no longer like an on off switch which caused me no end of bother in slow moving crawling traffic cues , basically it either stalled or over revd it because of to much play in the pedal really was a pain but all now cured I the matter of seconds - if you have the same symptoms or feel like the throttle is sticking try this first I can't believe how different the car feels and drives now , always the simplist things get over looked

Then decided to change the footwell lights and rear view mirror map lights to the multi blue led ones that arrived the other day looks pretty good and there actually brighter than the stock yellow bulbs

In the day light with camera flash

And when it went dark out ... Looks better in the flesh as they illuminate the hole cabin blue but anyway you get the idea

Hopefully the dash board blue LEDs arrive tomorrow so can get rid of that wank yellow glow and have some more nice blue dials!!

More to follow tomorrow as I go about changing brakes , bleeding cooling system and hopefully blue dash !!

So yea my list is getting bigger but I'm feeling good about this weekend just hope all goes to plan and I'll take shit loads of pictures as I go along as always

Update

dash leds didnt turn up so wont be doin that today!!

Secondly
Turns out the front brakes were changed the same time as the rears (last mot) but no paper work showing the work to the front ..only an invoice for the rears ... mot advidory stated that front disc lipped and pads worn but not excessive ... they have no ware so was definatly changed with the rears!!

Damn me for not checking first and believing an mot cerificate..

Proceed in calling me a donkey!!

Looks like im just painting calipers and bleeding cooling system today

Making progress - more than I'm managing - spent ages looking for braided hoses in the shed (Mrs TC emptied the house in there before her mims visit) gave up and tried out the new Karcher I got yesterday in the Homebase black friday deals - £70 instead of £100 (£120 in most places), so all I've managed is to start cleaning the patio for the first time in since forever.
