My p/c has stopped downloading from my camara i have completly rebooted the p/c 3-4hrs it took but it still will not down load is there a free program i can down load to make things work again

If your using a cable from the camera you could try a usb port at the back of the pc,or if its a laptop try another usb port if you have one.

If you have a card reader better still try taking out the card from the camera and put it in there.

You could also try the website of the camera manufacturer for drivers or a program and check out the FAQ section they may be able to solve the problem there.

As I recall, from remote connecting with H one time, it's a decent laptop but it had over 500 spyware, adware, viruses etc. Anything is possible, basically. It's probably well over due a service, full windows reinstall etc. :yesnod:

Do you know anybody in the family or a friend that could do that for you H?

Hi I am using a usb to connect to the p/c the only reader on my p/c for my S/D card is to small and the camera is sony A100 i do have a disc to install a drive but it only works with windows XP or 2000. no I don't have anyone to help as i don't have any family

First of all - a security scan as described by David is essential and should be your first task.

Then go to Sony's Web Site and download an actual driver and 'Playmemories Home', simply choose the correct operating system from the dropdown menu.

Rang my p/c man he said try to down load on another pc so i did and it didn't work on that so it could be the usb cable so sent for another one so will see if that works when it arrives
