I am pleased to say that I have a nice n reg (96) MGF, acquired for my birthday!
I've already used the forum to do some repairs to get it past its mot, so thanks for the information.
The car is a very early one, does not even have power steering.
Very pleased with the car so far.
Not used to forums so please bear with me if I am a bit slow. Not a digital native, more a slide rule guy.
Hopefully a picture of my motor will be added.

That is a nice looking early car, if you give me the last six digits of the VIN i will be able to tell you exactly when she was made (Born)

The EPAS was an optional extra on the early cars.

I am guessing that your Vin will be around 005500, March 1996 as she was first registered in Manchester on 10th April 1996
